Ministry Teams
The Care team helps with practical hands-on care for people, like meals or flowers for families who've had new babies or faced a loss, or providing assistance for other needs.
Support IBCB’s “connecting” vision by organizing after worship refreshments and fellowship lunches. Make someone smile by serving cakes and coffee whilst having a good time of fellowship.
This team helps to prepare for the Communion (Lord's Supper) once a month by preparing the table with the bread and juice and cleaning up afterwards. As well when we have baptisms this team helps to prepare the changing areas and other needs around our baptism services.
Support IBCB’s connections mission by welcoming our guests and providing information to people. Welcome worshippers and guests with a smile, warm handshake and pleasant greeting. Identify guests and help them feel “at home” by engaging them in conversation and answering any questions.
Support the “serving” vision of IBCB by collecting, counting and depositing all church tithes and offerings.
Come work with others to design events to bring our church together to help them CONNECT, such as our Spring church-wide retreat, Christmas Coffee House and more.
This team helps our church think creatively and plan for local, national and global outreach.
Support IBCB’s children ages 4-6 and 7-10 on a once-a-month commitment between teaching and assisting. Teaching involves preparing a lesson from provided lesson plans and leading the lesson with the children. Assisting involves supporting the teacher and helping maintain classroom environment.
The Praise Team leads IBCB in musical worship. Vocalists and instrumentalists rehearse on Thursdays to prepare for Sunday worship. If you have a passion for worship and God-given musical talent then this might be a place where God can use you in ministry.
The Prayer Team helps to support the church and its ministry through prayer and organising opportunities for prayer for the church, including preservice prayer meetings, mid-week prayer meetings and a prayer team to pray with people after services, and other creative opportunities!
The Social Media Team captures and creates photos, videos, and graphics to share on our church social channels like Instagram and Facebook. The team helps keep our community up to date with services, events, and special moments happening in church life. If you enjoy creating content on Sundays or at special events and are familiar with social media standards, this team is a great place to serve and grow your skills. We are currently looking for 3–4 new team members to join and help tell the story of what God is doing in our church community.
Support the “inspiring worship” vision of IBCB by monitoring and managing the audio presentations of our worship services. Be responsible for all aspects related to the sound technologies of IBCB. No worries, we will train you on the equipment.
Support IBCB’s "growing" mission and strategy by making disciples of teenagers. Join the Teen Teaching Team as a Sunday group leader or a week day connect group leader. Support the Teen Team with special events by providing food/snacks, venue or logistics.
Support IBCB’s “inspiring worship” vision by projecting presentation lyrics, graphics and videos at our worship services. Volunteers skilled in importing slideshow images, lyrics, PowerPoint slides and videos are needed. No worries, we will train you on the equipment.
